Anyone know what kind of ratios are on the JDM GC8 version 5/6 STI's? ie: whether theres any difference from the standard MY99 WRX steering rack...

JDM sti 15:1 (2.5 turns)
JDM Type RA 13:1 (2.2 turns)

The mounting method changes for '05 but the ratios are the same.

thanks guys, thats awesome. Wasn't sure whether the old GC8 racks were the same as the early GD's or not but it would seem that they are cheers

if your parts picking, visually GD racks have a finer spline on the steering input shaft too.

So the ra's are the same as the spec c's? Why are the spec c racks so hard to find and expensive as crap yet no one seems to says anything about the ra racks?
