Default Ej22t

Hey guys,

Need all the info about these motors as i can so what you know would help me alot as im about to purchase an ej22t and need to know everything i can gather.

Specs
Its a EJ22T block from the 91 Legacy turbo Forged wiseco pistons bored 0.040" over New OEM bearings, water pump, oil pump, seals, gaskets, belts, etc. Standard ej22t rods and crank.

My questions

Would my heads manifold and everything else bolt up to this short block??

To stroke it to 2.36 i think it is what would i need?

Ive searched here about these and couldnt find anything so please help out if you know anything..

Thanks in advance

all your heads manifold etc will bolt straight on you need to use 22t head gaskets still ... ... not sure about stroking but i think 2.5 crank and custom rods ...

Is this a na 2.2L that's been built to handle boost or a factory turbo charged motor like you'd find in the 22b? /curiosity

theya re very difficult to find, advantages i believe is that they are fully closed deck. I would assume benny is going to rip it apart and replace everything, the actual closed deck black is what he wants.

have you looked into machining a semi closed block like a 207 to closed deck? I'm pretty sure you can do this, but unsure who you would get to do it and how much it would cost

Yep Legacy USDM..

The shortblock is the EJ22T engine block bored .5mm over with Wiseco forged pistons. The block is tanked and the deck is re-surfaced. New bearings, polished crank, new wrist pins on the pistons of course. New oil pump (high pressure unit), new water pump and thermostat, new gaskets, seals and o-rings. New timing belt tensioner and pulleys, I can even throw in an STI kevlar timing belt if you want..

Most of the work is been done so im just going to drop it in at this stage and when the time come ill stroke it with the 2.5 crank and better rods.
