Leigh from RMS told me that the new links (only 6months old) shit on autonics and he can utilize them almost as much as a motec. Guess everyone has their own experiences and opinions though. I'll definately do more research into which one I should get.

PM MUNYA about his RMS & Link dramas......

Motec M48 clubman is less than 3k. Personally I'd go that way.
Obviously you then pay more to unlock advanced features, but they're not a necessity.

Take your own path mate, but be weary of people who will knock products that have outdone Link's in the market since time began and only now are they beginning to catch up... at the end of the day its still a Link.

Seriously would discuss the Vipec option just for the simple sake of looking at what they can do at a very good price, they will definitely have at least the same if not more than the Link at a lower price point and easier setup etc.

a vipec is essentially a rebadged link g4.

an m800 pnp is only $2828 + extra features too.

Thanks, I'm looking into possible options atm, will definately take in the advice so far.

:)

Getting closer to the date. So far the the best value I have found is $2800 for a new link g4 including a full tune. Most other ones mentioned so far are around $3k just for the ecu. No point spending the extra dosh for something with more options that wont be used. There is no track good/big enough in perth where it will make enough difference in performance to make it worth the $$$. It will still be setup very well anyway.

Wait, length of track = quality of engine management required??
Interesting concept.

There's a brand new Power FC for sale on the forums for $950. (And even if there wasn't, ebay has them for $1050).

Obviously sort of person who also only fills with just enough fuel to get to work/uni/school/playground - why put more in on the remote chance that there might be other places to visit...
