Just bought an apexi cai and i was reading up on diying it, but on projectwrx.com the guys says that unpluging the afm put on an engine check light if the key is on and then will need an ecu reset, if i unplug the battery for the procedure then hook it back up one the afm is on the new filter will this be ok

any help is greatly appreciated, cheers guys

well, dont even think about starting it with the afm unplugged, as you said it will come on if you turn the key when unplugged, so dont do it!

just fit the cai and make sure u plug the afm back before u start the car.

cheers mate but will the ecu need to be reset if the engine is off the entire time the afm is off?
