Did you leave it in the bus bay when it broke down?

Can find a front lawn. They are always good for a couple of weeks storage.

I had the crank angle sensor go on my MY98 recently. However it slowly went, so it didn't just stop suddenly. Towards the end, car would die as if it had no fuel or then fire up and sound like a chronic misfire. Worth a look imo.

Any CEL's on the Autronics?

Thanks Kato. Will check it out, taking it back in Tuesday. Weird, few of my mates have leant towards the CAS and others think Brant. I can't even start mine up, it sounds like it's out of fuel. Also not sure on CEL's, Zane will know as he had to play around with it before tuning. Thanks

Joe, you've already won post of the year, and it's the 9th of Jan. Congratulations. I'll put a picture of you up, just for the people who don't know you can put a face to the name.

It's the Brant mate, same thing would happen in my 03 sti. It would get worse over summer. I got it replaced and sure enough the next summer it happened again.

JA50N 15-01-2011 01:55 PM

It was the CAS. Replaced it and running fine.

Interesting...

Wonder what is causing all the crank angle sensors to go?

tuna 15-01-2011 06:18 PM
