Sti Timing Belt
 

All,

Is the Sti timing belt a worthwhile upgrade over the standard timing belt, or are you just paying extra for the 'pink' bits?

Figure whilst my engine is getting done I would lash out!

Benefits of a Kevlar belt?

The Sti one has more kevlar in it for less stretch....Go a Gates racing belt for the same thing but a bit cheaper.

ive got one on my car, hasnt been run in yet though.
id say its wank-factor more than anything.....

+1 for gates racing t/belt wish we could source clear timing covers!!

Went to our friends at RSP Rossco, about $160.00 AUD delivered, I got 2 as shipping was the same for 2.

can you retro fit the timing chain from the newly released motor?
