i know that might be a stupid question

i have a stock gearbox and diff but ive got my hands on a 4.11 gearbox for a93 rs lib, can i use this with my stock diff which is 3.54

No you cannot. The front and rear final drive ratio must match, the only exception is cars with 3.9 front and 3.45 rear because it's corrected by 10% rear drop gears.

what diff do i need to suit

You'll need one of the same 4.11 ratio...

can i take the internal parts out of the 4.11 box and put them in mine

(my gearbox has a seized bearing and chips on 2 and 3 gear so this might be the cheapest option as i have to take my car over the pits)

lol this will make it still a 4.11 box as you are changing the gears as you have quoted the gears are damaged, and you cant use a 4.11 unless you change your diff or you dont you just buy a 3.54 box or gears and bearings from subaru?

I have a 4.11 vlsd rear diff for sale that will suit your 93 RS liberty (direct swap, no need to change shafts)

if you have the later model shafts i will still have a diff to suit

just swap the whole box and diff too. i too have a spare 4.11 diff if youre interested.
