Default x-force turbo manifold

so far my mods include: 3" X-force TBE, unichip, cia. and im looking for the next best bang 4 your buck mod. most likely the x-force manifold because of there website bosting about a 32kw gain. just after peoples opinions, and if anyone has them, what there like. also i've been told through the grape vine that its the stock headers/manifold that give off the boxer rumble because of their unequal lengths, is this true? and will i loose my rumble with an aftermarket manifold? also because i got a stainless steal TBE (origionaly thinking it was better than mild steal) should i go with a stainless one aswell or will mild steal be fine?

cheers guys/galz

Yeah you will lose the classic WRX rumble. I got them installed and it sounds just like your average 2ltr. As far as power gain, I gained aprox 8hp but i gained a massive 40nm of torque. Also your lag increases a bit due to the decrease in back pressure.

im pretty sure whether you lose your boxer rumble depends on whether the headers are equal length or unequal length. and i think xforce make equal length and unequal length headers.

there is heaps of info on here about headers, I just tried a search but it seems any threads over about 4 months old disappear..

I fitted X-Force headers and they DO totally change the sound, they add some lag (when cold) but keep them hot and they work well. They don't add much more power however the mid range torque is improved.

You will need a retune to get any improvement. A 32kw improvement sounds like utter bullshit to me. Spending $$ on suspension would be a better option.
