i want to put a pod filter and pipping i know with exhaust and BOV the 06 wrx's have to be re tuned is this the same with air induction ?

Hang on, just trying to decipher that. Split your sentences with full stops. Divide your text into paragraphs when you change direction in your sentence. This will make it easier for everyone else to understand, so they interpret it correctly and can offer appropriate advice.

But yes, AFAIK the newer model WRXs need a tune to run properly with breathing mods like you suggest.

+1 with correct paragraph and sentence structure :P
As stated above, the older WRX's are fine with breathing mods, but the newer ones will require one

All WRX's would benefit from a tune if you replace the intake system, actually they will require it.
Otherwise, lean running= dak-dak-boom
Plus, a tune makes the most of the mod

Tis alright man and what he said below does help the car, I havnt got mine tuned for a TBE and cold air YET....really want too, best bet is a Verso Tune , like $990 ish
