ahh thanks for that wayne, yeah I'd rather the actual late model hubs as I take my car to the track and such, don't really trust spacers haha. Just the picture of the mature items didn't look like spacers so thought I'd ask.
cheers

Just suck it up mate and do the conversion...
everything else is just an adapater as the money is also in the bearings..

Yeah they definitely just bolt onto you current hubs like the KICS ones, just slightly differ design (so I've been told).

tino: yeah I totally understand, just had a fall out with 6 gun in the US so i'm not able to get the ABS tone ring spacer to enable the abs to function properly once I install the later model hubs and knuckles. So searching for other avenues to do the same conversion. someone on rexnet said you just change the CV joint end on the front drive shafts? I know you changed everything because you went DCCD.

The adapters in the first pic appear to be a new wheel flange to completely replace the original. So, press apart the bearing/flange/hub assembly, renew the bearing and press the new 114mm flange on. Everything else remains as per early hub. ie; driveshaft, ABS tone ring, hub, bearings etc. So no advantage as far as strength goes other than a stronger wheel and better choice of wheels. You would obviously need to use 114mm PCD brake rotors.
I'm only going by what I can see in that photo, but to me it does not look like a bolt on adapter as pictured below it. The main problem with those bolt on adapters is that they usually add at least the thickness of a wheel nut to the track, so most 114mm rims become too wide for the body. I did notice that those ones you pictured Wayne had a special low profile nut to reduce track increase to a minimal amount. |

Awesome thanks for that bit of info Dougie, I was just going on what japlish explanation was relayed to me regarding whether or not it was basically a hub spacer/pcd swap like the KICS one.
We need an "ASK DOUGIE" thread. hahahaha So if the OP wants me to try again let me know.

Ask him if it has a spline in it?
And if so, whether they do front and rear? (they are different splines) |
