Standard spec c rails are hard to come by. Also i already have the sti injectors.

All I hear is wah wah wah :D

I always thought people ran the sards on the factory rails. So unless they make a different injector for different rails (which would seem dumb) you should be fine.

I'd personally sell the STi Pinks and decap some WRX blues. Or if you have a big load of cbf like me, decap the sti's.

Russ go standard rails with standard injectors, put the Sard shitters on ebay and make some cash.
I know the Spec C inlet manifold is different than the WRX/STI inlet manifold (TGVs) but I doubt Sard make Spec C specific fuel rails, the market would be no where near big enough. That leads me to believe the Spec C rails and WRX/STI rails would be identical. Ergo, get stock stuff that performs fine/better and sell shitters.

I would, and i have tried to find a standard spec c fuel rail but no one has any.

Im hoping you're right and imagine you would be about them being the same.

Here's hoping!

Why would this be a better option? I have and only really want 200kw atw so standard sti pinks should be fine for my requirements.

Kato 25-05-2011 01:48 PM

Yup sti's will be fine.

If it was me, I'd decap now for the added overhead for inevitable future mods.

Both sti and wrx injectors flow at 816cc once decapped, so you can sell the sti ones and decap some cheaper wrx ones for the same end value.

RUSSGT 25-05-2011 02:06 PM

Ahh ok. Yeah only way to go more power is bigger turbo and i dont think there are many reasonable prices TS turbos going that are much better than the vf37. + 200kw ATW is MORE than enough power for track work stuff. I mean Jamie Lister has about that and is INCREDIBLY fast! All about the knuckle behind the wheel.

RUSSGT 30-05-2011 08:33 AM

Ok so the sti injectors dont fit straight into the rails. But thats ok. The only reason is that the Sards are about 10mm longer so all i need to do is wack the SARD spacer blocks in the lathe and chope em down. All good!

I also decided to get my injectors flow tested with new filters instead of hoping they are good. Ill get that done tomorrow at United Fuel Injection. Then get em in before the retune either wed or thursday.

mARC 30-05-2011 08:45 AM

Whats a flow test worth though Russ? Be almost the cost of a new set of injectors?

RUSSGT 30-05-2011 08:55 AM

$66.
