**MY08STI** at standard level
Default My08 sti oils

Hey guys.

I have just recently purchased a 2008 Sti Hatch and was wondering what people think would be the best engine, diff, clutch etc oils (Penrite, Valvoline, Fuchs etc) and what they have in there's.

Also i bought it from a dealer and it still has an extra 2 year warranty on it and im keen to start modding it, what things would void my warranty, just so i know before i go changing anything?

Any help would be much appreciated

give him some links then if it's been covered so much (which it has), otherwise don't bother posting

With mods and warranty its a bit of case by case thing. eg, if you modify the engine, and the airbag fails, its still covered. Basically, if the failed part has been modified in some way, it wont be covered.
So, if you put an exhaust, intake and a front mount on your car, and the engine pops, no warranty.
I'm sure to start an argument on here about it, but, easiest way, if your worried about your warranty, don't mod your car.
Subaru warrant the car, the way it left the factory.
Castrol Edge 5w-30 for the engine, or 0w-40
Castrol Syntrax for gearbox and diff.
Genuine coolant (super longlife anyway doesn't need to be changed for 6 years)
Genuine brake fluid, or Brembo fluid for a bit of fun.
