Default Injectors for GC8

I've run out of duty cycle on my standard yellow top 440cc injectors and would like to upgrade some time in the near future. So what are my options? I've been told that the side feeds are very expensive aftermarket so would it be better to get someone to make some rails to convert them to top feeds?

I'm probably chasing around the 600-700 cc flow mark.

Thanks in advance,

Darren

You can also upgrade your fuel pump and run an aftermarket fuel pressure regulator (Sard or Malpassi) to get more out of your existing injectors.

I'm running a Malpassi FPR and Walbro 400hp with standard 440cc injectors with around 185-190kw atw and would be lucky to see IDCs get in to the 80s.

I'm assuming your running some type of aftermarket engine management otherwise changing injectors would be kind of pointless.

Thanks Jon, yeah I am running an aftermarket ECU and I'm also using a Bosch 910 fuel pump. Not sure about the raising rate reg though, heard many differing opinions on them.

so low impedance means the "pulse" has to be controlled via an ECU?

impedance is the resistance of the injector,
some ecu's prefer low impedance, others prefer high impedance

the impedance affects the accuracy of the injector at low duty cycles
