Smile downflow or crossflow

hi guys, radiators having problems just wondering how to tell if my radiator is a crossflow or downflow system, i know the difference just can't really tell which mine is, thanks.

GC8 = cross flow (end tanks are on the sides of the radiator)
GDB = Downflow. (end tanks are on the top and bottom of the radiator)
