Default cai in guard

Hey guys. Just got an aps cai put in. It runs in the guard but ive always heard that they can suck water in from there. Is it a good idea to run it there. ive also rolled my front guards so they had to cut away that plastic that protects that part.

If you get a wet/dry filter then you wont have a prob as long as you service it regularly.
I had a custom CAI on my wrx and had the pod in the front vent and it was fine. Used to clean the filter every few weeks.

easy
Otherwise, buy a super cheap auto pod every 4 months and you will be fine also

Thats sux

Only cause i would get all over cautious with the car to make sure it was always clean, and running well.
You could leave it for as long as you like, but you would be amazed how full of crap it gets, like sand and road grim etc in only 3 weeks

Narchi, ive got the same set up. My guards are rolled but you dont have to remove all of the plastic lining. the front bit of the lining doesnt have to be removed. just that front bit alone is enough to cover the pod. the top of it is slightly revealed but ive got my lining and cut it up to cover the whole aps intake.

if you still got your plastic lining its worth doing..

yeah ive got the front bit. But after a bit of a drive through the rain the other night i could see water was getting in there. Not big amounts but still was worrying me. Ill look at getting that lining idea done.
