Thanks Ross. I just quickly googled it for demo purposes but that's another important thing to remember if you intend on retrofitting. Make sure it's designed for RHDs .

Iv got 6000k hid low beam and std highbeam, but with artic blue globes.
Puts out a fairly white light, not too much blue, just a kinda tinge and no yellow at all. Have lasted fine the past year and a bit/40,000kms, bit of contry driving at night to gero, out to mullewa & bunbry & that and have been alright. you would really need somewhere to put spotties if u did heaps of night time/wanted more light/arent as game haha. Passed pits with them mine are aimed pretty low tho, so low beam is great for just infront, but you need hi beam for the distance. And i agree with rossco, they light up signs way ahead off you, like in front of traffic, but not really anything that isnt white or reflective or untill your close. I dont rekon pre 05 subies have that greater lights std...but i did grow up thinking that anything less than four spotties was average haha

I've had 2 sets of 'ebay' HID kits... first one was in the STI for 2 years whilst i owned them and no problems, second set was in the Hilux and went under water and mud etc and lasted fine for the 2 years I had that...

I need a H4 globe , the listing shows H4
but when you go to select the H4 from the drop down list there is no H4, only H4-2 |

H4-2 is hi/low h4 (bulb moves for hi/lo focusing) Like this:
H4 is low beam only (fixed bulb)

I have philips H4 hi/lo kits in mine and the missus cars.
one car has 4300k the other 6000k very happy with them. I think that the 4300k are the better light output. the philips kits are more expensive than some of the others, but I think worth it for their reliability/quality.
