they are differen't you will find that in 90% of cases that your classic wrx will have afm issues when you remove the factory air box.

anyone have or has had an apexi unoiled pod on a MY00. did it cos lots of probs with the afm

Unoiled pod shouldn't cause you problems.

its not so much the oil as the turbulance issues you can have in classic shape wrxs

what if you make it like snug fit so no real turbulence. I get wat u mean the intake pipe is quite dangly.

i have a 00 wrx with an apexi pod filter and even though it is not oiled i still went through a few afm's. i was told it was due to the extra air flow or turbulance effecting the reading. Also make sure it is clean all the time as this can quickly damage it.

yeah i got one its all good, cost me 100 bucks fitted (bolt on)
