suspension mods
hi guys
was reading up on the various threads regarding suspension mods and i'm thinking about getting sway bars & anti lift kit. can anyone recommend a place to get and install whiteline or cusco swaybars? thanks |

I think Wheels World in Osborne Park will sort you out in the way of Whiteline gear. Check the web for Cusco stuff as I can imagine it would cost a fortune locally.

Maybe check out Wilkinson Suspension in Beechboro too. May I ask what modifications in particular you are looking in to? What do you already have?

that whiteline rear adjustable sway bars and alk really helped with reducing the understeering, i got mine done at wilkinson's suspension.

what year is it ?
anti lift kit helps a lot more in the classic shape than it does in the bug/peanut eye shape, but every little bit counts. Also worth looking into getting some more camber on your front wheels, greatly affects in corner handling. your cheapest option is some whiteline camber pins, people have mixed opinions on those, i'll let you form your own, then adjustable strut tops for your stock suspension and most expensive would be coilovers with adjustable tops. more camber will of course cause you to wear the inside of your tyres more. Upgrading your rear swaybar is a tops idea, or go for a matched pair for even better handling

yeah i'm definately going to get sway bars before the possum bourne cruise. so wilkinsons & wheels world eh? anyone know how much its gonna cost and what size?

Rear bar costs a little over $200 supply only. Easily fitted yourself, no wheel alignment necessary (well not really unnecessary, as your car will now handle differently so you probably would want to put in new settings to suit, what I probably mean is changing the rear bar won't affect your current alignment setting like changing struts/springs would).
For a classic shape, 24mm adjustable seems the most popular size for a rear bar. Do a search on this topic, should churn up a fair bit of info. |

just as an opinion, get the bar done quick and get some time driving the car, or dont put it in before the cruise. Theres nothing worse than doing a big handling change to a car and then hurting it around a bunch of other $$ cars, not knowing what its going to do. Last thing you want to do is realise your car now oversteers, when your doing the *ahem* speedlimit on mundaring weir road
