I started my car the other day and the engine light was still on and my cruise control light was flashing slowly has and one esle had this problem before can the let me no

Something has thrown a check engine light (CEL).
Best bet would be to take it to a Subaru garage that can read/scan/clear the code, take it to a dealership who can read/scan/clear the code and repair/fix what is causing the code.

Cruise control should also be disabled when a CEL is thrown.

If you can't get to a dealership or garage, I'm sure there are a few people with a data scanner that would be willing to help you find the problem.

Yer I can't use cruise control and it happend once before when my battery died then went way after a few hours

K. No first hand experience, but I was under the impression that CEL + flashing cruise is usually emissions related. Seeing if that is the case here.

Pod filter + no tune = Lean running codes normally.
But could be something else.
