if its built from october to december, they classify that as year after..

so if its made 10/2002, then its 2003

what Ajay is trying to say, is it's a 2002 built MY03 WRX. They usually begin building the new model around August, compliance and delivery to dealerships in September ready for late Sept/ early October sales. Prices between 02/3 don't vary that much... maybe a couple of grand here and there. Looks like a nice car. Lose the wheels though

Subaru's model year starts in July and ends in June. As do most Japanese car manufacturer's
So they start building the MY03 in 2002 and so on, we usually see the next year model cars in around September.
So your car is a 2002 build year 2003 model. Perfectly normal and the dealership has done nothing wrong

EDIT: What Kym said ^^^^

Also, MY03 is a better engine then MY02, it has AVCS.
Not better looking though

I bought my 02 STI from a Ford dealership. They wanted $34,990 at the time.. I paid $30,500. Sold it 2 years later for $26,500.

Guessing you paid between $18 and $20k for that 03?
