Default Saas gauges! Always faulty?

Today I bought a SAAS boost gauge(machanical) installed it only to find out it had a faulty wiring harness. Thinking back to my mates old car he had a whole dash full them, and they used to play up all the time! have you had a bad experience?

Brands to look at include Defi, HKS, APEXi, Autometer (though Autometer may not be as good as they once were?)

VisionR.com.au are in O'Connor and they stock DEFI & Apexi. However they're going to be 5-6 times the price you paid for the SAAS....

installed the new wiring harness and gauge, works well but im assuming it will fuck up in a short period of time, found a place that sells autometer for a very good price so ill no doubt be shopping there in the future.
