Default To new wrx owners...

Check your boost !

After some jiggering around with Candy last night... Dan discovered she was only running on about 7-9ish... when it should be up around 15ish ?

Was wondering why she was so sluggish ... and had Clint tell me earlier to check it as he thought it was too low.. but just never got around to putting boost guage in to check it..

Not quite sure on why someone would turn the boost down below stock.. but oh well.

Neen had it happen to hers as well. So if it feels slow.. get a gauge gizmo on there to check it !

Now im super speedy! (well ok maybe not super.. but alot more than before)

Has anyone else had this happen ?
ps where can I find a heat shield thing to cover the turbo ? Mine is missing for some reason.

1. Heat soak on your top mount intercooler (It sits just above your turbo) - Car will be sluggy when warmed up

2. Possible heating of brake fluid etc which is all above it

3. Generally high engine bay temps

my heat sheild was removed because it didn't fit after i got a new shortmotor put in earlier this year. I've haven't noticed much of a difference in terms of performance or engine bay temps.
