Default stereo help needed

hi ive got a alpine setup usual headunit 4 speakers 2 amps and a sub.I have been getting a load thump coming through my speakers and sub.i disconnected my rca to my subs amp and it all stopped is the sub or amp at fault. or is it backfeeding through the headunit???
any help would be great

Sounds Like an earth Problem. Make sure all earthing points are secure, and also The use of good quality cabels comes into play.......

Had a similar problem but noise was through the speakers. It was an earth problem. Make sure you have an earth connected from the headunit through to the amp. This stops a earth potential difference from the headunit to the amps.
