Default Hit pothole @ 110k/hr..... makes MY05 cry

.....fuckin bang!

Checked out the damage, couldn't see any so I drove the 200kms home and it's been parked up for a week now without being driven cos I've been busy.

Just checked it out closer and it looks like a slight dent in the rim (drivers front) and the inside of both front tyres are bald.... alignment was perfect before, as far as I know.

so...I need someone who does a good job on wheel alignments, no a TOP job

and I also need someone to straighten up this rim, it's not bad as far as I can see

anyone help me out here?

cheers

either claim it on insurance, or take your rim to Alliance Rim Repairs and leave it with John at Wheels World to be aligned. Then I guess you could take the receipts to whatever council didn't fill in the pot hole and ask them nicely for a refund ?

if your tyres scrubbed out that quick on the inside you would have known because the car would have driven like crap.

check your back tyres too.

i do wheel alignments at my work, beaurepaires in gosnells..

not sure where atwell is tho :P

hmmm the car wasn't pulling bad at all, only "slightly" to the left and sometimes it's hard to tell due to the camber of the road, so perhaps they were scrubbing out anyway......................... cheers for the info so far

- Atwell is the suburb on the corner of Armadale Road and the Freeway.

yer alliance rim repair's do a good job but very expensive. when i got a quote for fixing some kerb damage on my rim on my old car, the quote to fix it was more than i paid for the actual rim in the first place... might be easier and cheaper to just buy a new rim, or a second hand one if you can come accross one.

Don't forget to check the wheel bearings too. Usually that kind of damage will result in wheel bearings replaced and if you drive too long on a broken wheel bearing, the hub will need to be replaced too.. Alot of dosh there.
