You sugested it. I asked why.
If it's the same as grease you can buy from any supplier I was curious as to why it was recomended?
I try to explain reasons if I approve or dissaprove of a product.

Don't have a reason, he was asking for either genuine or aftermarket parts, I gave him the genuine option.either or will do the trick
What's so good about genuine Subaru CV grease?

(am I missing something? It appears to be normal Moly DiSulphide you can get anywhere???)
Is that what its called or is there a simpler name for it? (Don't want to sound like an idiot if i ask for it :).

Also will i lose my g/box oil when i remove the shaft?

Marti 18-11-2012 09:34 PM

Nope that's the name of the grease, you will only loose fluid if your shafts don't a pin in the middle.if the splines are external then you will not loose fluid

05 STi will have the plug in shafts so you will lose some gearbox oil unless you jack the car up only on the driver's side.

You can ask for black moly grease to simplify.
