Default liberty my04 turbo issues

hi,
i just had a rebuilt vf38 turbo installed on my liberty gt,it was the original that blew a few weeks ago.20 k's into its first outing and i start to hear a whinning/whistling noise coming from acceleration and there is no boost.has the turbo shit itself again?any info is greatly appreciated as a new turbo from subaru is quite expensive

a hose has come loose somewhere, if its a whistling noise, check all your intercooler and vacume hoses

If its a 2l liberty I'm pretty sure they are twin scroll and have only seen one fail due to oil starvation

it is a twin scroll,at first i was told they cant be rebuilt but i found some1 in sydney who rebuilds with a warranty,he explained there was a carbon build up in the oil line, had a mechanic friend take a quick visual inspection and we can see nothing out of place.i may have to ship it back to sydney

Did you try talking to performaz or Mtq in Malaga?theyrebuild turbos all the time. Someone has miss led you telling you that they can't be rebuilt in Perth.get a subaru specialist like stechnic or maximum motor sport to check it out

If it was just a claimed carbon build up, can you tell if it was rebuilt at all? And not just a scrub up and send it back to you.

when it originally blew the noise was pretty bad,all sorts of rattling but when i got it back it was smooth sounding and drove excellent for about 20 k's.its still silent in neutral until u accelerate and the turbo tries to spool and i got a warranty on the rebuild so i cant see them just polishing it up.i spoke to maximum performance they want the car but ive already been messed around (garage ordered wrong turbo twice, hence the rebuild) and its taken 7 weeks to get it back so im exploring all options before spending any more coin
