CG8 idle/rev issue.

I have searched the forum with no luck to my question for help. :)

Well. This is the beginning of hopefulness. :-)
BTW. This is a carry on of the wife and I project scoob.

I got the car back from the auto elecs. They said it started. I could
not replicate it at home. Nor could they when I fetched it for some
or other reason.

Anyway. The verdict was that I had to source a manual ECU with matching key, antenna and immo ecu as autos are non existent.

Anywho. Got all that. They plugged it in and no more fault codes.
So far so bad.
They apparently managed to start it but could not get it to rev higher than 900rpm.
After much faffing with it at home. For some reason it decided to splutter some life this evening. By life I mean less than 100rpm. (Im sure they only got it to 90rpm. Not 900...) It is very erratic and there is no difference if I depress the throttle. Other than cut out.

So far I have pulled the intake manifauld of. All looks good.
Checked the TMI for blockages. Turbo spins up like a hurricane. There is spark. (only took out one plug to check with on all leads) There is fuel. There are no fault codes. But it wont idle and normal RPM. Let alone rev.

Does anyone have a clue with some pointers.

I need :ky: with this car.

afm?

Doubt it at this point. If I unplug it while the engine is spluttering it stalls. If I could get it up to a normal idle speed and it does not rev. Then I would do the amf. Unless I am mistaken?

make sure all the CAM/CRANK sensors are positioned correctly and secured

Is there only one way they can be positioned? They slot in a case and only have one bolt hole with no room for adjustment it seams?

Any chance the injectors could be gummed up?

RJD 10-04-2013 07:20 AM

possibly injectors. i mean. is has stood for ages.
Can you have the cleaned or just new ones?

Although. I does smell heavily of over-fueling as it is. but that could be because of the low rev
no burning the fuel properly
