Major issues 1999 sti
 
Hi guys after finally being able to replace the split cooler hose i started the car up and it's still running on 3 cylinders puffing a shitload of fuel smoke out the back and hunting up an down on idle I've checked all vac lines etc they seem fine i have no idea what to look for next really starting to get Over it.. Anyone got any ideas what to look for/check the car is running a link G4 ecu so has no afm

This may sound silly but have you checked the plugs and ht leads

No afm means it has a a maf sesnor... make sure its plugged in. My Lib would do the exact if the maf sensor hose came off with its motec

Maf?? or did you mean MAP, Manifold absolute pressure? As a MAF (Mass air flow) and a AFM (Air flow meter) are the same thing from what I understood.

Nope
MAF sensor is typically located just before the manifold, ie either of the top mount or rubber pipe going into manifold

It's post turbo, rather than pre turbo
