Default Where is engine code / number

Hey peoples,

Hopefully an easy one.

Can someone please tell me where on the engine one would expect to find the engine code i.e. EJ20t or EJ207T etc.

Thanks

Brendon

...ummm - look down on the block, kinda behind the radiator & pulleys n stuff. Not a technical explanation, but it's down there somewhere.

Blues is kinda right but this will only tell you if its 1.5/1.6/1.8/2.0/2.2/2.5, You will need to check the manufactures plate which is affixed to the left hand strut tower...

If the engine is not in the car, you will need further help from a engine builder!!

Checked that and all it says is EJ20.

The engine is out of the car at the mo. I thought that since the engine is out it might be easier to see.

The shell is at Race Torque so I cant just jump out and have a look at the strut tower. The car has not been complied but I assume they still list the engine number there. They certainly list the chassis number there.

It does not really matter but I was just interested to see which variation it is.

Thanks for the help.

Cheers

Brendon
