You would like to assume that but the sad fact is that a lot of shops will never look for an air filter if it's not under the bonnet. Is it in the inner wheelarch? (where this untapped reservoir of cold air allegedly resides) <-sarcasm

It has a k & n drop in panel filter in the original airbox with the resonator removed from the wheel arch. Air then goes into a pro-speed silicon intake pipe then to the turbo. The usual intake mods. :-)

Can it be an o2 sensor?

My old shitter s13 had the o2 sensor failed got very poor fuel economy, replaced it retuned and she was right again
