Injector upgrade for EJ20G
Hey experts,
Looking to get a nice big injector upgrade and I wanted to know if anybody has any experience with this particular kit. Forum search gave me no info. http://www.prospeedracing.com.au/cart.php Needs to fit onto the early version 2 GC manifold so I was wondering if anybody has tried/failed fitting these to a similar setup or whether anyone thinks they're good/shit... I'll go for the ID1000 setup if possible. Any advice appreciated! Cheers, Nathan

Hi mate
i got your PM but thought i would reply here as well The fuel rails for that model car you need i dont know where to get or even start looking.. Powerflow only do from 97-98 and 99-00 Conversions. I think EPC is the same You may need to look at some being Custom made Troy

If so possibly edit the web page to say 97 onwards? Everyone seems to throw around the 94-00 bracket when there is differences between early and late gc's.

Nathan,
I can probably get you a set to suit mate, but to be honest it will be just as good to get yourself a set of larger side feeds?????

Can you get adapters to fit 6AN fittings to my rails? I wasn't sure if there were many 800cc+ side feeds compatable. I see a lot of shitty collars and stuff to make things fit. I was thinking of giving the later manifold a go but I thought the later ones don't have the idle control valve therefore you'd have to screw around a lot to make it work?

You don't need an idle valve mate, you can just use the idle screw, well that's what I did. 6AN is no worries mate

and which year manifold/rails are you currently running?
I basically want to setup my lines like that photo you sent me with the parallel system. If you could pm me some prices for hose/fittings that would be smashing. Should have really asked these questions weeks ago when we spoke but I've been lazy as of late!

Keen to know what you end up doing.
I need to sort out similar size injectors for my early manifold too. |

Just to add to the conversation,
I've just changed my 95 manifold to a 97 manifold, added phenolic spacers and gone to top feed 850 sards with a parallel fuel setup.. Couple of notes to consider. Have a look at some RS Forums, or google rs ......, not just wrx, as everything your looking at has been done before more than likely with the RS (as good as exactly the same as early wrx) Need to change Throttle position sensor adapter (94-96 is 4 wire, later is 3 wires) If keeping Idle control valve, you need to re-route the hose to your inlet, easy enough to do.. Need to change or adapt accelerator cable as its on the other side of throttle body. Top feed conversion was pretty straight forward and easy enough to do. I've had to make some adaptions to the header tank, as the top feeds slightly foul where it normally would mount to manifold. I went to vf34 so Advantage of going to 97+ manifold is you can go with direct entry turbo and inlet.. Should be firing it up in the next 2-3 weeks hopefully once the vipec goes in, but all looks ok to me.. Hope is of some help in your thinking.. Cheers |
