Brakes
The Brembo's on my car knock when I apply them, this dosen't happen all the time but happens regularly.
I took it back to subaru and they said its just my calipers sticking. Should this happen on a brand new car????? |

Happens on most cars, especially when you leave the car sit for a while reverse and touch the brakes. What the noise is, is the caliper pistons hitting the back of the pads. The caliper pistons retract a little and when you apply the pedal a knocking noise can be heard.
A simple fix (temp) is to apply anti squeal to the back of the pads between the pads and the shims and placing a smear of copper grease on the top and bottom edges of the pad backings (the part that sits on the base of the caliper) Make sure you wear gloves as anti squeal isnt good for you and prolong use can make you shoot blanks......
