Default MY11 WRX Centre Diff

Hello,

I'm looking at getting a daily driver. But I've grown a bit too fond of my WRX to get rid of it, and even more so at trade in prices.

The daily driver will probably be an AWD. I'd like to make my WRX a little more rear focused. Are there any suggestions and or pitfalls in doing something like this?

An STi style electronic diff sounds good but I'm guessing it'll be expensive.

Cheers,

Big rear adjustable sway bar mate, leave your diffs alone. ^^

The above plus more boost and just add water, you'll be on lock in no time.

Thanks Everyone,

Nick's idea hits closest to home. A new sway bar(s) definitely something I would do either way. Might give that a go first and see how it drives.

I can never say no to more power. I might look into that too.

Cheers.

I had 22 front and 24mm rear and it was very neutral feel through corners on the side of oversteer in the dry, as soon as it rained boost was to say the least fun. I'll think unless you have huge amounts of power a tail happy Rex in the dry will be a struggle.

Thanks. I'm not looking for something tail happy, more something that'll squiggle and slide on the side of oversteer when I power out of corners. After getting my coilovers, the understeer is pretty much gone, but I'd like to tip the scales further. I thought the diff might be the key. Having said that, the sway bar spec similar to yours might be what I'm looking for. It'd be a hell of a lot cheaper and it's something I want to do anyway.

Thanks DD

As above, STI, everything is better.
But with sway bars, try rear first only, takes away grip at the rear but still allows the front to dive in and grip
