Default Struts

Ok so currently have wrx struts on my rx, with king springs. Left strut is blown. So query is can I replace the blown lef strut with my rx strut, is there any difference? Also what wold the ride difference be like if say had sti struts or kyb struts. Does it make sense getting sti struts given gc8s are pretty old now? Finally does anyone know of anyone that reconditions struts? Is this a good option?

Hey mate, your rx strut will fit but may have slightly different dampening rates. But either way your other strut will be out of whack most likely too.

I would consider getting some replacement struts. Genuine arent too expensive around 180 each or aftermarket are available too. Kyb are the supplier for genuine so if you go that route somewhere like wa suspensions or covs should have what you are after

On the topic of RX and suspension.... Does the RX have sway bars?

I've got front and rear sway bars taken from my GC8 WRX if you would like to upgrade? Has bushes and end links. Send me a PM or email mwebb at amnet.net.au

Cheer guys. White rx thought that might be the answer but wasn't sure if had different dampening on rx to wrx. Makes sense and would expect that though. Will look for some kybs. Matty, rx doesn't have rear sway bar and thin as front sway. Wrx front sway won't fit rx. Rear sway will after getting a few bits but already done. Anyone else with rx and wants to tidy up the holding, excellent mod, along with good set of tyres.

You might know I am looking at conversion possibly, so might be chasing after that. The problems involved in conversion from wiring issues and getting dud half cut have got me bit worried, but still looking. And of course the amount of hours and possible issues.
