Default Tyre Choice to go on 18" rims???

Guys,

What size tyres are you all using on 18" rims?? I've been told 215/35's are the go, are any of you using 225's??

Interested in any experiences or opinions.

Thanks,
JB

I'm using 225/40's on my 18" rims, no problems that I can see.....I've done about 1000kms on them so far.

I use cheapie nankang 225/35/18. Any higher profile would scape on the back :P
~$200-220 a tyre.

I've had one blow out on a back tyre which wasn't cool out south of eneabba but otherwise no probs with the kangs.

Depends on the offset of the rims you will be running.

I would say you will need to at least Lip the rear guards. Generally you use 18x7.5 on GC8's
