Evo R stocks "Project Mu" pads labelled differently ... draw your own conclusion.

Yokohama are great for street tires but I use top of the line Advan Sports.

I'm a fan of Dixcel Type M pads for the street. Pricey but pull the barge up very well. No dust practically.

Even got through a Collie track day without going up in flames until the very last run where I took off about 3.5 seconds off my PB.

Yeah Evo R stock Project Moo's, out of desperation i went down the Evo R way for brake components and they look nothing like Hc+'s on Project Mu's site. In saying that whatever he sold me works alot better then what i had previously and didn't get any fade at collie and barbs on very hot days. You can also haggle like your in Bali with him.

Had both Re002's and S-drives and the Re002 win hands down in all condintions.

I wasn't at all happy with the general feel of my brakes from the factory. I got new rotors, QFM HPX pads, SS lines, calipers and fluids (calipers are just 06 WRX 4 pots, but feel different to stock 08+ wrx 2 pot sliders). Stopping feels great, although I'm sure I could have got the same result minus the calipers (most expensive part).

This explains you super squeak on stopping project mu can supply stick on shims to stop this.

Try Perth Brake and clutch if you are a wrxownersclub member. You should get about 10% discount.

Not critical, particularly for the street, but you do get a nicer feel when you apply a decent amount of brake pressure.

I have Bendix Ultimates in my brembos at the moment, looking forward to getting rid of them. For the street they are fine. They are nice and quiet, and generally do an OK job, but they feel a little spongy and lack bite.

Having said that I don't want rotor rippers and be driving around in a squealy bitch, middle ground is what you want.

I had the following fitted to my car by the guys at STechnic, and did Collie at the end of last year:

DBA 4000 T3 Slotted Rotors - Front and Rear
Project Mu B-Spec Pads - Front and Rear
Goodridge Braided Brake Lines

The brakes worked a treat and I didn't notice any fade despite some rather spirited driving around the track. Give the guys a call and they'll give you solid advice. Hope that helps.

Also if your rotors had uneven wear and were not machined when the pads were fitted...could result in bitch screaming
