Default Cleaning the underside of the WRX

Has anyone done much in the way of cleaning the underside of the WRX. After 14 years, my MY00 has shit accumulated underneath and I'm keen to get under the car and clean it.

There are plenty of threads on how to clean the top side of a car (the paint, clay bar, polishing, etc), so I am interested to see what's involved in cleaning underneath.

I am by no means a professional undercarriage cleaner, so when leak finding I get the car as high as I can on stands (a good 6~700mm) and degrease the lot over a tarp, come back after a while and use one of those pressure bottles you put weed off in only with water. Seems to work for my purpose.

There's a few car washes who have an undercarriage option but I'm not sure how rigorous you want the cleaning to be.

I am aiming to have the underside look very, very clean. No crud, grease shit, water/mud mix, etc.

Get it as high as you see fit, lots of degreaser, elbow grease and general cleaning shit, high pressure hose wouldn't go amiss either.

This will end in the replacement of steering boots.
