Splitter Prob LOOKING FOR HELP PLEASE
Hi, I am in the process of fitting an STi intercooler and splitter. I got the splitter from over East from Rexnet and was told it was from an 03-05 STi. I have just come to fit it and the splitter rubber boot seems to small and doesnt cover the whole surface area of the fins. The width is ok it is just the depth. It is about 35-40mm to short. The dimensions I have are approx 460 W x 145 D mm I have no idea what this one is off of, my guess is a newer Sti because I think they were not as deep ??
Attached is a pic of the gap, not happy Can someone that has a genuine 03-05 Sti please measure the width and depth of the rubber boot and let me know. Thank you |

I'll have a geezer tonight if nobody gets back to by then, although i think mine is an aftermarket zerosports jobbie but the measurements should be the same.

Smaller splitter is from a WRX not an STI.

The STI Splitter should have 2 angled vanes - the one you have looks to have only 1? That makes it a Late WRX one & hence why it's too narrow.

Rossco, thanks for the pics of the splitters but are they of the Grimmspeed ones because they dont seem to tie in with what I have here and these are genuine Subaru ones. Maybe I am reading your diagram wrong?
As you can see from the my pics the splitter that has no vane and just a back plate and is the original one that came out of the car (05 WRX) in your pics it shows the 05 WRX has having a center vane and back plate. The other one is alot taller hence fitting a taller STi scoop? and only 1 center vane and back plate. In the diagram it looks like it has 2 vanes?? I am totally confused sorry |
