I would bet my left hairless testicle that STD manufacture jack shit and that the coilovers are blank products sold to outlets to put their branding on them. Just like the header factory in Asia.

I also think Gordon would eat a doodoo sandwich if Mao told him it was vegemite.

Check out some of the build threads here and pm those members with G3's that have suspension combos you are interested in, I'm sure most people would be happy to take you for a spin.

I only live up the road from you so if V3's are on your radar let me know if your keen to check them out.

Cheers ears

The only issues that I had with them was the dampening wasn't what I was expecting, the adjustments were a pain to find the sweet spot and the amount of noise that was being created in the top hats at the front.

Who was responsible for the last service?
Was it a Subaru Dealership?

It was Duncan Nissan in Vic Park! Didn't even stamp the book like I asked them to.

Thanks mate, sounds good. I'll look them up tomorrow at work and read up on them a bit. Be good to go for a spin and check out the ride before I potentially buy them.

Maybe of wraped in subway paper

I save no money when comes to mod my car. As the process goes, I learn a bit more on every mod I do. I think its no point just buy stuff from big names just for the sake of them. But under no means, im implying they r bad.

I dont live far away neither, if u need second (third) opinion.

The issue is Gordon, that you seem quite happy to post unsubstantiated information as if it's fact. A lot of us are learning as we go and trying to save money where we can without cutting corners, but nobody else constantly posts hear say information that is proven to be incorrect time and time again. If you can't prove it, keep it to yourself and leave the slander for somebody else.

Dan, My mate Brett has the KW v3 units with the gas canisters. I have all ways been impressed with the ride quality & handling of these coil overs. He is located in Vic Park if that is a help to you for a test drive.

Yeah that would be awesome if I could feel the ride quality and talk to him about how it handles with them on. Isn't there a cruise happening in March sometime? Do most people attend the cruises? Maybe he could take me for a spin then. I've never been on one myself apart from that charity cruise from butler a few months back which turned into a disaster. I took off before I even got to the first meet point.

As long as you're looking at KW V3s it may be worth while looking at Racecomp Engineering Tarmac 2s as well.

They're a KW V3 that has been overhauled by Racecomp Engineering. I've got a set coming at the moment and have heard nothing but good reviews on them.

Sweet, thanks mate, I'll read up on both sets and see what I think.
