MY03 workshop manual
Looking to upgrade to a MY03 automatic. Just wanted to know if the tiptronic shifter is simply a 3 way momentary switch?
What i want to do is tap into the wiring and mount a 3 way switch on my hand control (im a paraplegic and the car will be fitted with push pull throttle/brake lever) so i can change gears without taking my hand off the wheel or hand control. If no one has the answer to this has anyone got a workshop manual for the MY03 i could get a copy of, im thinking this will have a wiring diagram. Cheers!

Found the answer, yes it is just an electrical switch so rigging up a remote shifter switch or even F1 style paddles would be piece of piss.
If anyone has a MY03 workshop manual id still really appreciate that so i can find the pin outs rather than having to trace the cables. Cheers

Cheers but thats the wrong page. I need the pin outs for the tiptronic control plug (sport mode and manual mode switch) which is a few pages after this one in the manual.
I have one for a late model Legacy GT 4AT with tiptronic, im hoping the pin outs will be the same but should be easy to confirm with a multimeter once i get the car. Anyone know if this transmission is identical to the 4AT tiptronic in the 03+ WRX??
