That would be due to an aggressive pad you're using with a high steel content. Generally race/rally pads.

Cool. They stop the car awesomely once warmed up. I did try and brake as hard as possible once to show a friend and they werent exactly hot yet. Afterwards i found tiny specs of metal like glitter stuck in the brake dust around the inside of the rim. Usually they are just very very dusty.
Willwood arent the best brakes going around. But they are probably one of the best 'bang for buck' brakes that you can get. They are also very light wieght. Calipers are like air compared to stock forester cast calipers. And The rotors weigh less than an equivelent set of multi piece brembo rotors (like dba5000). And these are a few mm bigger than brembo rotors and a couple of mm thicker too. You could spend massive on some forged monobloks with stupid diameter rotors and even more if you wanted carbon/ceramic rotors or whatever if you wanted really realy good brakes. But who has 15k to spend on brakes...
