Already had ARP2000 head studs too but put them on your list. If you can have your old engine that heaps a lot with swapping over bits and pieces too

Buy gasket and seal from Japan Parts in Japan. From memory only $350-400.

Hey Fable,

Servicing your STi heads for $600. What are they doing for that price Fable. Just skimming the heads. Who are you using to do this?

Will you have to skim then again after the first failure or is it not necessary?

Cheers

[QUOTE=Fable;825867]I'm doing same build now on my 99 Sti. Fucked last engine and re using my heads.

Sent out heads to be serviced and whatever else they do $600

I would go the ARP625's Fable. From my readings and experience ARP2000 head bolts stretch.

What is the difference in the arp625s compared to mine?

I used South Side engine center for heads. They were highly recommended. Couldn't tell you exactly what they did, though when I got them back they looked like new and they did plenty of tests. Best to give them a call.

Tensile Strength in ARP2000 = 200,000psi
ARP625 = 260,000-280,000 psi

Just a bit stronger. I guess it depends on how much you plan to boost the car?

South Side engine center is located in which suburb?

ARP 2000 are fine for mild builds . Fuck buying 625+ if you need the strength there are better alternatives to be had for the same price.

Stop riding each others cocks.
