Default Vf23 upgrade

I saw a Kinugawa IHI RHF5HB Ball Bearing SUBARU STI P18 Turbine Housing

I thought the vf23 had a P20 housing? If not would this P18 housing be of any gains? Just trying to get the most out of the 23

Flick an email through to Mambatek. They seem to have more options.

From memory they are one of the old business partners from kinugawa but their turbos seem nicer and generally run dual ceramic bearings of the same spec as run in EFR Borg Warner turbos. On my wish list.

If you want a slightly bigger turbo go for a VF22, the VF23 is a mixture of the Vf22 and VF24, 24 front, 22 rear from memory.

Trying to find a 22 is hard enough haha
I'll prob stick with my 23 as I'm getting a tune soon.. Then later on I might go down the twin scroll route

I am not affiliated with Mamba but I noticed that they have recently bought out 5-6 twin scroll turbos to suit subarus.

Have heard a bit lately that twin scroll is great for response but leaves too much hp on the table.

Mate, I've been using my VF23 for 10yrs and still love it, but Subaru did a pretty good job of mating it to the V3 STI motor in mine, stock as a rock apart from exhaust and intake and it's easily got a high 12 in it, and that's in an 85kg heavier Liberty.

High 12's is a great achievement for a fun car. I can't remember what stock felt like. :-)
