Uneven pad wear
Hi all,
Have had a set of pads on with new rotors since March this year (7 months ago). I've probably been to 7-8 events with them, and now the drivers side front pad is worn down to indicators, however passenger side still has some meat left. Would this be due to its closer proximately to the master cylinder? Or could it be due to a sticky caliper? Or even just due to more wear from braking into a left or right turn? Interested to know... Time for a rebuild mate have had the same issue before with the 4pots pulled them apart cleaned the bores and pistons replaced the seals and orings . Started replacing the fluid in sooner intervals and haven't had an issue Lots of build up due to heat .
I used wax and grease remover to clean the bores and pistons also a good idea to get a set of small cleaning brushes to run through the bleed nipple and brake line ports. |
