Question Usdm Spec V Aus Spec My06sti
Would like to know how the USDM model gets its extra power?
Also does anyone know if the gearing is the same as Aus Spec?

different ecu maps.
gearing afaik is the same, if not, its only 5th and 6th that would change slightly.

diff ecu map to run regular unleaded maybe? or is that a fallacy

I am sure ADM & JDM use the same ratios the rest of the world gets taller ratios on 5 & 6

yep what he said about 5th & 6th gears plus we run V43 turbo as opposed to V39 the Yanks get. They also miss out on a number of other things we get here and you can see for yourself on iwsti.com
