Thank you very much for all the feedback, especially impresser on my idling problem

Had a little play with the throttle sensor.

Brought the car up to temp slackened off the two screws that hold it on the throttle body and rotated it slightly in a clockwise motion suddenly the idle began to drop, a little more and the idle settled down to 750-800rpm.YIPPEEEE !!!!!. gave the trottle a bit of a rev to boost a couple of times and still idling well.

But the engine light was on , on the dash.!!!!!! DOH!

Can,t think what may be causing this one , may be a reset could be the answer with the new throttle position values at the ECU?

What do you reckon guys?

I,ll keep you informed of any changes after the reset today.

try a reset, if that fails get it diagnosed by a subaru specialist.
