Red line covers it with the wax coating... Which isn't good for Subaru gearboxes or diffs, works fine for other brands but not Subaru will cause it to fail over time and how it's used

I ran redline oils in my Gc8 Wrx diff and box for 10 years and had no issues. It was always smooth shifting.

I've used Redline shockproof in 2 cars with no issues.
It solves the problem that some Subarus have of difficulty going into reverse on cold mornings.
Redline can reduce noise in worn boxes.
Some mechanics say it has a bad smell. - so do the change when you have a cold!

Just to clarify I have used redline oils before with no probs i think from my understanding is once you run with it stay with it the whole time as it really does almost stick to the metal oh the other thing last time I bought it was expensive.....

I have had Redline Lightweight in my GC8 5spd box for about 6 years without issue.
Have done numerous track and rallysprint events with it.

It doesn't work with 6spd.

Like I said, over 11yrs in mine and Redline heavyweight? (the red oil) for the diff, the lightweight looks like smurf blood, I never noticed the smell that bad when I changed mine a few yrs ago.
