Zero yup zero drone at all speeds.
VMild rumble than never attracts looks of scorn.. ELHs tho

Bits that count are ultrex mid pipe/resontator with TCP muffs.

I guess the "quieter than stock" comment was a bit cray cray according to peoples replies, but it was late and I'd just been for a long drive so I was kind of over the whole thing. Sorry it is not the manly way to to want my WRX to be, but the drone is honestly causing a physical effect on my ear drums and I value my hearing too much

yeahnah's TCP muffler testimony was pretty much on the money of what I was digging for here, and the Carline suggestion was excellent, I will chase that up tomorrow. (It's also answered the other query I wanted to ask about a re-tune, which I why I was asking about 3"ers specifically)

My mate had a bug eye a few years back, he had the same issue fitted a varex twin tip on it problem solved. Was so quiet closed and open was nice minimal drone.

I am actually looking at getting one with the new 'smart box' opens the exhaust based on throttle input / rpm etc. Closed on mild throttle, half open on mid and full noise flat out!
