To those of you who have gone through ASG;
How much did they charge for your tune, and (if applicable)
Were the subsequent tunes cheaper than the initial one?

Depends on what car. Later models (08+ I think) are $1150 for initial tune from memory. Around $250/hr for tuning after that.

What's wrong with actually calling them? By the time you read this answer which could be incorrect, you could have called them and gotten an accurate answer

I did call them and was quoted $990 which seemed a tad steep but if that's the going rate, that's the going rate. Simply wanted to see if there was any disparity between quotes.

For the record, its a GD WRX (MY05)

Ahh ok gotya. Yeh, earlier models are a bit cheaper. That sounds right.
Alternatives are ECUTEK which is upwards of $1600 for initial tune (MMS, Race Torque).
Tokyo Motorsport does open source tuning but seems to vary depending on how many hours they spend on the car. My initial tune with them was $1300. They also do ECUTEK.

Then there's Evolution-R who do open source tuning for cut-throat pricing of around $650 I'm lead to believe. Before opting to go there I suggesting doing thorough research using the search function on here as well as Google before committing to cheap tuning...

Yeah, I've lurked over the past few weeks and done extensive reading on local tuning; hence ASG. Got nothing against Evo-R but I'm definitely not going there any time soon.

Subsequent tunes at ASG are much cheaper than your first tune from my experience. My first was somewhere around the $1200 mark, my second with a good amount of changes under the hood and adding e85 was around $500.

The first tune can be a little bit to swallow, but if you stick with the same tuner it should be cheaper after all the licences (if any) are paid for and initial work is done.

Clearly not done enough reading if you've chosen ASG.
