violated
Had my bug eye for 15 years now running the Brant system and only had problem with it in the early years when there was a recall on the faulty unit so I'm not bagging the unit and am happy to keep it installed. It has started playing up again so did some research and came to the decision and bought a replacement key pad module from Subaru only to be disappointed when I tried to install it to find out that it could only be activated by Subaru themselves. Why didn't they advise me of that prior to purchasing the unit . So finally made time to book the car in to have the module installed only to find when I drop the car in I'm shown an invoice to do the work of $462 to do an install only. Am I expecting too much when they tell me it will take 3 and a half hours to install a plug and play unit. Why do I feel violated

Return the keypad to Subaru and express your displeasure, then have the Brandt system replaced with something more modern and reliable for a fraction of the cost.

As above.
Last time I was at a Stealership I was informed they have a minimum charge time of 2hrs they allocate to every job. I didn't dispute it as I wasn't footing the bill.
